The eight-week campaign is titled “Let’s Be Amazing” and features Dr. Dre, comedian Rhys Darby, photographer Annie Leibovitz and others.
The spots are part of Hewlett-Packard’s attempt to redefine itself to their consumer base, in addition to giving the company some “personality and distinction.”
Dr. Dre’s commercial features the Aftermath Entertainment CEO in his recording studio expounding on the benefits of the HP Beats computing system.
The producer’s HP ENVY 15 Beats limited edition notebook PC is a collaboration between Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine of Interscope and HP’s engineers.
“The laptop is the new stereo for a lot of people and that’s why we’re putting out this computer with incredible sound,” Dr. Dre said of his new notebook PC.

Watts, CA native Glasses Malone with his grizzly slow rhyme-style which he refers to as a steady moving Beach Cruiser flow, has been waiting in the wings to blow up since he signed his $1.7 million dollar deal with Sony a few years back. With the backing of Sony, it looked like Malone was set to become the next big national face from the West Coast, however Sony decided that it wanted out of the Urban market and dumped it’s entire division dedicated to it temporarily leaving him without a home. Glasses began his hunt looking for a new outlet to put out his album, The Beach Cruiser, and soon found help from West Coast veteran Mack 10 and his Hoo-Bangin’ Records company who in turn took the promising star to Baby & Slim’s Cash Money Records. Things looked good for Malone at his new home as his single “Certified” featuring Akon took to Southern California radio and soon found itself on rotation in other stations around the country and it appeared as though The Beach Cruiser album was shortly on it’s way. Months after the “Certified” single, the album was pushed back and has been time after time since 2007 when we last spoke to Glasses Malone & Mack 10 in an exclusive interview. Glasses Malone is armed with hope though as he’s gone back to the drawing board for The Beach Cruiser album and still has the backing of Cash Money Records. AllHipHop.com met up with the self -proclaimed “President of the New West” out in Long Beach, Ca to talk about his album and get the story on what’s been going on with his career since we last spoke with him.
It’s GetRight music’s first official blog and what better way to launch it with the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. We did it big fam, we were out on the streets performing daily and soaked in the Olympic spirit. We have lots of film footage and we met lots of nice people.
For our first blog we gonna show you two special events that went down. First we’d like to show you some footage of Gerry Dee (sports reporter from the score) who came by to show us some love. Logic the Topic jammed with Gerry as we showed the crowd how GetRight music holds a street party!!
Second footage shows how we do hip hop. This footage shows Logic the Topic approaching Vancouver rappers Un-1 & Little T for pushing 2 girls out of their street performance spot at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. They back away from the battle at first….but the police had to break it up when the battle was about to go down. This is classic hip hop we don’t support violence, we love Hip hop and what better way to resolve issues than a classic battle?? This is GETRIGHT MUSIC people!!
Stay Tuned for more footage on Logic the Topic and Jerrica Santos. And keep checking back for news and info.
